We, Teresa & Matthias, created Projekt Open Books with the aim to improve the Tattoo Booking process for both tattoo artists and clients. Having numerous tattoos ourselves, we often struggled with getting tattoos booked with our favourite artists and later learned that this pain is often shared by both parties.

When will Projekt Open Books be available?

The Projekt Open Books app will be available in April 2025.

The Projekt Open Books app will be available for iOS, Android and Web.

In what countries will the app be available?

In order to use POB, you must be placed in one of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.

We hope to expand this list in the future, but at the moment we are limited to these countries unfortunately.

How much does it cost to use POB?

POB is free for tattoo artists. However, for any deposit you collect via the platform, we need to charge a 10% (+tax) booking fee to cover any Stripe payment processing costs. This fee will be charged to the client to ensure you get your full deposit.

How can I collect deposits?

We use Stripe for safe & secure payment processing. You'll need to create a Stripe account during on-boarding. But don't worry, this shouldn't take longer than a few minutes.
